Bee & Wasp Removal

Bees and Wasp stings can also be a painful and life-threatening experience for anyone who is allergic to them. However, this risk can be reduced by taking reasonable precautions outdoors and ensuring proper wasp or hive management. Wasps can also be likened to bees, especially honey bees. However, their color varies from golden brown to almost black and is hairier than wasps.Bees are a species and beehives are only removed if they pose a great threat to loved ones. This is why they are difficult to control and their drift can be handled by skilled honey bees and wasp destroyers in lower areas. Types of Wasps and Bees

  • Bumblebees

    Size: 2.5 to 4 cm

    Appearance: Twice as big as honey bees and are really hairy with stripes that can be orange or yellow.

    Notes: They prefer underground nests but can be found on decks and patios with a colony size of 15-100.

  • Honey Bees

    Size: 10-20 mm

    Appearance: Golden brown with a hairy body

    Notes: Colony size can grow up to 80,000. Survive winter by huddling up in their nest. Can only sting once.

  • Carpenter Bees

    Size: 12.5mm to 25mm

    Appearance: Shiny black but more thicker than wasps. Similar to bumblebees.

    Notes: They are known to burrow holes into wood that can be very large! So look out for wood shavings.

  • Yellow Jackets

    Size: 10-20 mm

    Appearance:     They have a shiny black body with a brighter yellow pattern

    Notes:     Colony size of up to 5000. Almost the same size as a honey bee. Prefer living underground.

  • Hornets

    Size: 3 to 5 cm

    Appearance: Similar to a hornet but smaller.

    Notes: Only the Queen survives winter. Have one of the most painful stings from among this group. Better for gardens since they are a natural predator to some small bugs.

  • Paper Wasps

    Size: Medium ( 2.5 to 3.5 cm)

    Appearance: black with yellow or rusty brown stripes and orange antennae

    Notes: Colony size of 5-30. They also make their nests from paper that can look gray in colour
